As the admin of Plek it is possible to block or deblock users to (temporarily) stop their access to the platform. In this way, it is easy to remove and de-remove users.
Blocking Users
To block a user, take the following steps:
- First, go to the Admin section in your Plek: hover over your own name at the menu and click on Admin.
Now you arrive at the Admin panel. In the left sidebar, there are different components, including Users. In the standard settings of the Admin panel, the first component is Users. Here you see an overview of all the existing users.
- Go to the user you want to block and click on the edit icon on the right side.
Now you arrive at the basic information about the concerning user: email-address, name, and rights. Here it is possible to (temporary) remove a user from your Plek.
- Click on Remove User.
- Then, click on OK.
The user is now removed from your Plek. It is always possible to deblock a user later.
Deblocking Users
Do you want to deblock a user, and thus give him access to your Plek back? Take the following steps:
- First, go to the Admin section in your Plek: hover over your own name at the menu and click on Admin.
Now you arrive at the Admin panel. In the left sidebar, there are different components, including Users. In the standard settings of the Admin panel, the first component is Users. Here you see an overview of all the existing users.
- Click on Show Blocked Users.
Now you see all the blocked users in between the active users. The blocked users are crossed out and marked pink.
- Go to the user you want to deblock and click on the edit icon on the right side.
Now you arrive at the basic information about the concerning user: email-address, name, and rights. Here it is possible to grant a blocked user access to your Plek back.
- Click on Reset User.
- Then, click on OK.
The user is now active again and has access to the platform. It is always possible to block a user again.
Below is a short video where we go through the steps.
TIP!
It is possible, e.g. when deblocking, to reset a user’s password. The user can then restart with Plek with a new password.
