At Plek it is possible to create channels. Channels are public: you can use them to spread information that is meant for all the users of your Plek. For example, company news or notification from HR.
Adding a channel
To add a channel, take the following steps:
- First, go to the Admin section in your Plek: hover over your own name at the menu and click on Admin.
Now you arrive at the Admin panel. In the left sidebar, there are different components, including Channels.
- Click on Channels.
Now you arrive in an overview of the existing channels in your Plek.
- Click on New Channel.
A page where you can add information about the new channel appears.
- Give your channel a name and decide who can upload messages in this channel.
It is possible to give specific persons the right to upload messages in a channel or you can give a certain type of user this right. It is also possible to combine these two (e.g. type ‘content manager’ plus person A and person B).
- When finished click on Create.
The channel can be seen on the home page of Plek and those with uploading rights are now able to upload messages in this channel.

It is possible to add an RSS feed in a channel. The channel will automatically be filled with information on this RSS feed.
