As a group admin, it is possible to assign different roles to the people in your group. For example, you can highlight a number of people within the group, e.g. contact person, manager or confidant.
Roles in a group
To assign members of your group with a specific role, take the following steps:
- Click on Groups in the navigation balk.
- Then, click on the group in which you want to assign members a role.
Now you arrive at the page of the specific group.
- Click on Group Members.
- Then, hover over the name and click on the edit icon in the right corner.
Below the name, a field where you change to roles (e.g. ‘Head Communications’ or ‘Confidant’) and the rights (member or group manager) pops up.
- Fill in the correct role and click Save.
You have correctly changed the role of the specific person, which is directly visible for all the group members. At the tab Groups Member, you will find group members with specific roles situated above other members. It is possible to give any member a role. The role of a member can always be adjusted or deleted.
Below a short video where we go through the steps.
Decide beforehand who has which role in a group. Try to limit the roles to a maximum of five to prevent uncontrolled growth, unclarity or overlapping roles.
