As a user of Plek you can upload messages. You can add different media to this message: images, a video, or audio (of maximum 500MB). Moreover, you can add a document or a form to your message. That is how you create filled messages which people can easily find.
Adding a video to a message
It is possible to add one or multiple MP4, MOV or AVI files to a message. There are two ways to do this:
- In the text of your message, you can add a video by clicking on the video-icon.
Use the work tools above the text box to insert a video by clicking on the video-icon (the rectangle with a black ‘play’ triangle in it):
Click on the video-icon. Then the Video Embed Code is asked for. This code makes it possible to upload a video from a site, e.g. YouTube, to Plek. Go to the concerning video and follow the following steps:
- Click on Share;
- Click on Enclose;
- Copy the given code;
- Paste the code in Plek;
- Click on Insert.
Your video is now inserted in the text of your message. In this way, you can upload as many videos as you which in your text. If you click on the video it will automatically be played.
- You can add your own video as an attachment
Click on the video icon at the end of your message: (ADD VIDEO ICON)
Go to the folder in your computer where the concerning video is saved. Double click on the video. The video is now placed at the bottom of your message (under ‘tags’). You can only upload one video as an attachment.
Below is a short video where we go through the steps.
Do not forget to press ‘Save’ when adding new media to a recently uploaded message.
Make your content attractive by adding video or audio files. Research shows that articles with for example images are being read 94% better than ones without images.
