Interaction in posts - reactions and comments

In Plek, there are several ways to interact with posts from other users. Whether you want to show appreciation, express support, or ask a question— icon reactions and written comments make it easy to share what you think or feel. This helps to strengthen engagement across your organization in a simple, accessible way.

Reacting to a Post
Under each post, you can quickly respond using one of six reaction types. This allows you to express your opinion or feeling without using words.
Which reaction types are available?
- 👍 Like – Shows appreciation or interest
Example: A colleague shares photos from a team outing. - ❤️ Love – You feel enthusiastic or emotionally moved
Example: Someone shares a personal milestone. - 🤝 Support – Expresses empathy, support, or understanding
Example: A colleague shares a difficult or emotional moment. - 🎉 Congratulations – Celebrates a milestone or achievement
Example: A work anniversary or certification. - 💡 Enlightened – You feel surprised or inspired
Example: Someone shared something insightful. - ✅ Completed – Indicates that a task has been completed
Example: A reminder to submit expense reports.
How does it work?
- Hover over the like button below the post
- Select one of the six reaction types
- Your choice is saved instantly
- You can change your reaction at any time by selecting a different reaction
Viewing Reactions from Others
Want to see how your colleagues reacted?
- Click on the visible reactions under the post
- You’ll see a list of who reacted and which emoji they used
ℹ️ Note: In Plek Insights, all reaction types are counted as a single type of 'reaction'. The statistics do not differentiate between specific reaction types.
Posting a Comment Under a Post
Want to respond in more detail or start a conversation? Use a written comment.
When should you use a comment?
- To give a compliment or add context
- To share additional information
- To ask a question about the content
- To start a conversation with colleagues
How does it work?
- Scroll to the bottom of the post
- Type your comment in the text field (1)
- Optionally, add an emoji, GIF, or attachment (2)
- Press Enter or click ↵ to post your comment
- Your comment will appear directly below the post
- 💬 You can also reply to other users' comments to create a conversation thread.
- The person whose post or comment you respond to will receive a notification.
Disabling Interaction (for Content Managers and Admins)
For formal or sensitive messages, you may not want to allow reactions or comments. As an admin, you can easily control this setting.
How do you disable reactions and comments?
- Go to the advanced settings of your post
- Check ‘Turn off reactions’ (1) to disable emoji reactions
- Check ‘Turn off comments’ (2) to block written comments
⚠️ Important:
- If the post already contains reactions or comments, these will no longer be visible once you disable interaction.
When you re-enable the settings, previous reactions and comments will become visible again. - Disabling reactions and/or comments is not available in the mobile app.
