Automatic activation emails to extend your reach
The Activation Engine serves as an automated mail to bring your new Plek platform to the attention of your organisation. This tool enables automated mails for activation of users, making it particularly useful during the initial platform launch, while also maintaining its relevance for new platform users thereafter. Some examples are:
- Inactive accounts will receive an email with a reminder to activate their account
- Users who have never posted before are encouraged to post a message
- Users who have never logged into the mobile app are encouraged to download the mobile app.
Activation of Email Templates
Currently, most email templates require activation by a Plek team member. It's important to note that the "never logged in before" and "never logged in the app" email templates are preconfigured to be active by default.
Once incorporated, all available templates can be edited by your administrators via the following URL: YOURURL/adminpanel/email/activation-engine/list. Below, you will find a comprehensive list of all available templates, offered in both English and Dutch (NL).
- User has incomplete profile
- User has not logged into the mobile app
- User has not logged into the desktop app
- User has not posted since his last post
- User has joined no groups
- User has never logged in
- User has never posted
It's imperative to recognise that a template becomes immediately active upon creation. Therefore, exercise caution when activating these notifications. If the platform has not yet been launched, we have the capability to disable all email communications on your platform to prevent inadvertent sending to users who are not yet eligible to receive emails.
Customising Email Templates
Any email template, once added, can be customised by your administrators and our team. This customisation includes the ability to modify the number of days before an email is sent and adjust the content text. Please refrain from removing the activation button in the template, as reversing this action can be challenging. If you are utilising Single Sign-On (SSO), these buttons may need to be removed and replaced with a URL link.
