Default notification settings

Set default notifications across the entire platform.

When new users register with Plek, they always start with a clean account, including a default set of preconfigured notifications.

Each user can further customize these notifications in their personal profile. Would you like to manage the default settings as an admin? It’s possible to automatically enable or disable specific notification preferences for all users. These default settings apply to new users as well as to existing users who haven't manually changed their notifications yet. In this way, you can determine which preferences users start their Plek experience with.

You can set defaults for:

  • New message in a channel
  • New message in a group
  • Reply to a message
  • Like on a message
  • Like on a reply
For example, you can choose to disable all notifications for 'new message in a channel' by default. This setting will remain off until the user manually changes it. You can also specify preferences for push notifications (mobile) and email notifications.

It’s not possible to permanently set notification preferences for all users—users will always be able to manage this themselves.
