Setting notification settings at company level

New users who are registered in Plek start their account with a "clean slate." No notification settings are configured yet, users can set these up themselves from within their account.

However, as an admin, it’s possible to set default notification preferences for users. These default settings apply to new users and to users who haven’t yet customized their own settings - meaning those who are still using the default configuration. As an admin, you can decide which notification preferences new users will start with.

You can configure defaults for the following notifications:

  • New message in a channel

  • New message in a group

  • Comment on a post

  • Like on a post

  • Like on a comment

For example, you can choose to disable all notifications for “new message in a channel” by default. This setting will remain disabled until the user manually changes it themselves.

Please note: This only applies to new Plek users and only until they update their notification settings themselves. Once a user customizes their settings, the default template no longer applies to them. It’s simply a starting point for notification preferences, which they can fully adjust as they see fit.

It is not possible to permanently enforce notification settings for all users. Users always have control over their own settings.
