Employee Journeys for users
Employee Journeys are an optional feature that depends on your organization’s Plek license. To find out if Journeys are part of your Plek package, feel free to have your admins contact their account manager or send an email to support@plek.co.
An Employee Journey guides employees and other users step by step through important processes. This increases knowledge and awareness within the organization.
Journeys can be used for onboarding, preboarding, training, safety awareness, protocols, and compliance. A Journey can include references to documents and information pages in Plek, or request your feedback via forms or Smart Conversations.
My Journeys
All users have access to My Journeys, a summary page showing all Journeys available to them.
To open your overview, go to your personal menu (by hovering over your profile picture in the top right corner). Here you’ll find:
-
Active Journeys you still need to complete
-
Scheduled Journeys that will start soon
-
Journeys you’ve already completed
If there are multiple Journeys within the same category, you'll see an indication (4) of how many you’ve completed in that category.
Completing a Journey
Click an active Journey to begin. Once started, the Journey will appear in full screen. On the left side, you’ll see an overview of the steps:
-
A description of the Journey (if added) (1)
-
The total number of steps in the Journey (2)
-
The current step in bold (3)
-
Completed steps marked with a checkmark (4)
-
Scroll down to move to the next step.
Note: In the mobile app, the step overview is not shown.
Temporarily exiting a Journey
You can leave the Journey by clicking the back arrow in the top left corner (5). When you return, you’ll resume where you left off.
Important: Some Journeys are marked as mandatory by your organization and must be completed before you can continue using the platform.
Types of content in a Journey
A Journey can include various types of content, each with its own function and way of interacting. Below is a detailed overview of the different content types you might encounter and how they work.
Reading a document
Your organization may share documents with you to read.
-
Click the document to open it (1)
-
A read confirmation (2) may be required before you can continue
Reading an information page
Your organization may link to an information page within Plek. The content appears directly in that Journey step.
-
Click ‘View in Pages’ (1) to open the page in full screen
-
Subpages (2) or other links will open in a new tab
-
A read confirmation may be required at the bottom of the page (3)
Filling out a form
Forms are used to collect feedback or input, for example during onboarding or for a short quiz.
-
Click Answer questions to begin
-
Your progress is shown on the left side
Your answers will be saved, even if you exit the Journey midway.
Uploading a profile picture
A profile picture helps others find you on the platform. Your organization may request one during a Journey to complete your Plek profile. This is optional but helpful.
-
Click Upload profile picture
-
Upload a picture from your local files
The ideal aspect ratio is 1:1. If another ratio is used, you may need to crop the image.
Filling in a profile field
Profile fields help users find each other more easily on the platform. Sometimes, filling in a profile field is required before continuing with the Journey.
Joining a group
Groups allow collaboration with other users. Your organization may suggest you join one or more groups.
-
Click the access button (1) to join a group
-
Some groups require admin approval—access is granted once approved
-
-
If you’re already a member, this is indicated with a checkmark (2)
Selecting a language
If your organization supports multiple languages, you can choose your preferred language in this step.
Note: Language changes affect buttons and interface elements only, not the content of the Journey itself.
Reviewing completed Journeys
Completed Journeys are available for review until the end date set by your organization. You’ll find them in My Journeys.
