Reach is the first step of the Plek Engagement Score and reflects the number of activated users.
Reach
It is important that people activate their Plek user account. An unactivated account cannot log in to the platform and, therefore, cannot consume any information.
Reach is the percentage of activated accounts, meaning the percentage of users who have logged in at least once and can, for example, receive email notifications from the platform. By measuring Reach, you can determine how many accounts can potentially be reached with your information.
The ideal Reach value is above 95. If it falls below this, it is worth investigating the cause. This indicates that your communication message is not sufficiently reaching a significant portion of employees. Often, this is related to onboarding: existing employees leave the organization, and new employees are not adequately informed about the platform, leading to a decline in Reach.

Example 1: 'Standard Trend'
A common trend in Reach over time is a steady growth in the number of users, with approximately the same percentage of accounts activated on average.
Example 2: 'Irregular Trend'
The example below shows that a new structure or integration may have been implemented, causing a one-time and temporary deviation.
Example 3: 'Trend After Implementation'
Example 3 shows the trend after implementation, where a large number of users were created in April 2024 and gradually became activated over time.
Initially, Reach is very high, as only a limited number of users are active during the platform's setup phase. The right side of the graph clearly illustrates the trend following the launch.
General Account Information on Your Platform
You can also find general account information on your platform via the admin panel:
- Go to your name in the top right corner
- Click on Admin Panel
- Click on Users
- Check the panel displayed in the image to see the number of activated accounts.
Good to know!
Before an account can be activated, it must first be created. A user account can be created in two different ways:
-
Automatic Account Creation – This happens via a Single Sign-On (SSO) or User Provisioning integration between your Active Directory and the Plek platform. In this case, the user does not receive an email to activate their account.
-
Manual Account Creation – The user receives an activation/welcome email with a personal link. This activation email expires after 24 hours. If the account is not activated within this time, the platform administrator must resend the welcome email. How to re-send a welcome email?
Note!
Keeping the number of users on the platform up to date is important. Ensure a clear policy for adding and removing users, or let this process run automatically through one of our user synchronization options.
