How to measure Visit?

Visit is the second step of the Plek Engagement Score and reflects the number of users who visit the platform regularly.

steps

Visit

If users have successfully activated their accounts and the Reach score is at the desired level, you want users to visit the platform regularly. Visit reflects how often users come to your platform.

The definition of Visit is: the number of activated accounts that have visited in the past month. Number of activations = Activated Users + Activated Externals.

For a reasonably active platform, a Visit score above 75 is typical. Truly successful platforms have a score above 90, with a high percentage of daily and weekly visitors.

A higher Visit score can be achieved in various ways. For instance, you can take practical measures such as setting the intranet as the homepage of your browser and discontinuing competing channels. Conversely, continuing to send email newsletters will lead to a lower Visit score, as there is no need to visit the intranet for news.

A higher Interact and Contribute score will naturally lead to a higher Visit score as well. The more interesting and relevant activities there are on the intranet, the more likely users are to visit regularly.

Example 1: 'Reasonable Visit Score'
In this example, we see a reasonable Visit score of 73, with little variation over time.

Example 2: 'Even Distribution'
In this example, we see a representation where the distribution between daily, weekly, and monthly visitors is fairly evenly spread.

Example 3: 'Normal Trend After Implementation'
In this example, we initially see a maximum Visit score because there were only a few users during the implementation phase. After the launch, more users join, and we see the 'normal' trend of Visit, eventually rising to nearly 100%.

Example 4: 'Construction Holiday'`
In this example, we clearly see a dip during the construction holiday in the summer. The number of daily visitors temporarily drops significantly, and as a result, the monthly visits logically increase.
