How to make sure that user accounts have been activated and users log in successfully?
The first step to achieve good adoption of a communication platform is to achieve a good “Reach. User accounts are activated as much as possible and users are logging in successfully.
But what is important to increase your 'reach' and what actions can you perform? In this article, we highlight a number of topics:
-
Login and authentication
-
Automated email notifications
-
Make campagne
1. Login and authentication
Make sure that everyone who is allowed on the platform can actually log into the platform. Try to make this as simple as possible.
- When Single Sign On (SSO) is set up, users do not have to log into the Place environment separately. This simplifies the login process and makes access easier. Read more about the possibilities on the page Easy login with Single Sign On (SSO).
- If you are not using an SSO, you can use the welcome email in Plek, where users can activate their account themselves.
- Make Plek the home page of your Internet browser and install the Plek app on organization devices to make participation as easy as possible. Learn more about the features of the Plek app here.
2. Automated email notifications
The activation engine allows automatic mailings to be enabled and sent to motivate users to actively participate in the platform. The mailings can be used during the launch of the platform, but remain of value to new platform users thereafter. Some examples include:
- Inactive accounts receive an email with a reminder to activate their account
- Users who have never posted before are encouraged to post a message
- Users who have never logged into the mobile app before are encouraged to download the mobile app
3. Make campagne
Before the platform goes live, it is essential to include potential users in the communication about the upcoming launch. Consider setting up an attractive campaign. Even if the platform has been in use for a while, but adoption could still use a push, it is important to draw attention to this in a fun and inviting way.
- Communicate clearly about the platform and what it is for and what its benefits and functionalities are.
- Devise a content calendar for after going live.
- Get people excited and involve ambassadors;
- Devise playful and original going live campaign. Think posters, flyers, gifts, videos, etc. For inspiration check out the Go Plek customer community in the channel Plek going live!
- Choose a time of launch. Is there a meeting, a New Year's reception, an outing? A good time is when everyone is present and can immediately join.
