Get to know the Plek Engagement Score, that will enable you to get the most out of Plek

What is the Plek Engagement Score (PES)?
The Plek Engagement Score (PES) is a weighted average of the five components that make up the Plek Engagement Score, measured over the past month. These five components are: Reach, Visit, View, Interact, and Contribute.

The Plek Engagement Score is a number between 0 and 100 that reflects the adoption of your platform. It is calculated based on five underlying scores, each also ranging from 0 to 100.  

The Plek Engagement Score provides only an initial indication of adoption. For a deeper analysis, we always examine the five underlying scores and their associated data points.

 

1) Reach 

Indicates how many accounts can potentially be reached with your information. A user can be reached if their account is activated. An unactivated account cannot log into the platform and therefore cannot consume information.  Data on reach in our model does not indicate whether information has been read or displayed. 2) Visit

Measures the frequency with which users visit your platform and identifies top users. Click here for more information on how to measure your visits.


3) View

Measures how often and what type of content users view on your platform. This data informs your internal content strategy. Click here for more information on how to measure your views.


4) Interact

Measures how often and who interacts with your content through comments and likes. Click here for more information on how to measure interactions.

5) Contribute

Measures how often user-generated content (posts, documents, pages) is created. Click here for more information on how to measure contribution.

The Plek Engagement Score is available to users with the roles 'admin' and 'content manager' and can be accessed via the menu under your profile.

  • Go to your name in the top right corner
  • Go to the admin panel
  • Click on statistics
  • Click the yellow button “Try our new statistics”

Benchmarking

By translating adoption into clearly defined scores between 0 and 100, it becomes possible to compare them objectively. This allows you to track your platform's adoption over time, for example, compared to a year ago, and against similar platforms. We offer a benchmark based on two axes: industry and company size.

Goals and ambition levels

Plek offers a communication platform for every level of ambition, suited to each organizational objective. Using the PES, it can be measured whether the goals are being achieved, and conversely, the score reflects the current level.
